New to Raceway Fun Park!

•  Scoring: The objective is to throw the horseshoe in such a way that it encircles the stake. A horseshoe that encircles the stake without touching it is called a "ringer" and typically scores 3 points. If no one throws a ringer during a round, the closest horseshoe to the stake scores 1 point. If two horseshoes are equally close, they cancel each other out and no points are awarded.

• Throwing: Players take turns throwing their horseshoes at the opposing stake from behind a predetermined line, typically called the "pitcher's box." Each player alternates turns, throwing both of their horseshoes before the opponent takes their turn.

• Gameplay: A game is typically played until one player or team reaches a predetermined score, commonly 21 points. The player or team must win by at least 2 points. If both players or teams reach the winning score in the same round, the game continues until one player or team has a lead of 2 points.

• Fouls: There are certain fouls in horseshoe pitching, such as stepping past the pitcher's box line while throwing or touching a thrown horseshoe before it comes to a rest. Fouls can result in penalties, such as subtracting points or disqualifying the throw.
